What Is Glaucoma?
Glaucoma is the term for a group of conditions that will damage your eye’s optic nerve, the part of your eye that transmits the images you see to your brain. Glaucoma is the leading cause of blindness for people over the age of 60, but its symptoms can be preventable with early detection and care.
Diagnosis & Technology
With our abundance of advanced technology, we can determine the severity of your case. Our team uses the Optos digital imaging machine to help monitor any changes to your optic nerve, and optical coherence tomography (OCT) to track differences in your nerve fiber. And to check your visual field, we’ll use the Humphrey Field Analyzer from Zeiss.
One of the most trusted methods we have that maintain the eye health of glaucoma patients is by prescribing medicated eye drops. Our expert team can help match you with the right drops and dosage for your needs.
If your glaucoma requires surgery, we’ll be by your side and co-manage the entire process with your surgeon. This ensures you receive seamless care, and that your surgeon is in-the-know about your condition and eye health history.
